Andrew Chambler has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the United Kingdom for the past 17 years. He qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, part of Imperial College London. Embarking on his surgical career, his interest soon became Orthopaedics and in particular shoulder and elbow surgery, being awarded his Masters of Surgery degree in this area by the University of London in 2000. He gained his Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship with Professor Carr in Oxford and has since been awarded travelling fellowships by the British Elbow & Shoulder Society within the United Kingdom and Europe as well as to the world renowned Mayo Clinic in the United States of America. Matt Shepherd MCSP |
Matt is a clinical specialist physiotherapist with an interest in knee conditions. He graduated from Huddersfield University in 2002 and worked for 4 years within local NHS Hospitals before specialising into sports and private practice. Working at a number of professional sports clubs, private clinics and hospitals has provided him with 20 years of invaluable experience in managing a range of patients from elite athletes to the weekend golfer striving to recover from a knee operation. With extensive post graduate training in injection therapy, education, manual therapy, acupuncture, taping and rehabilitation he has acquired the skills to manage the most complex presentations with expertise and to relay his knowledge base to patients and therapists alike . He currently divides his time between Physioimpulse, one of Bath's leading Physiotherapy clinics and working as an extended scope practitioner carrying out Orthopaedic Clinics with Ben and Andrew at a Local Private Hospital. He has been lecturing CPD courses for the past 10 years.

Mr Ben Lankester MRCS MA BM BCh FRCS (Tr & Orth) |
Ben Lankester is a specialist knee surgeon and has been a consultant since 2007. After training at Oxford University Medical School, he completed fellowship training in Bristol and Seattle covering arthroscopic knee cartilage surgery, knee ligament reconstruction, traumatic knee injuries and all types of knee joint replacement. He has an active interest in teaching and research, and reviews articles for three different orthopaedic journals. In 2017 he was elected to the South West Clinical Senate Council – a body that advises on reforming healthcare pathways across the region. Stuart Galise MCSP |
Stuart is a clinical specialist physiotherapist with an interest in shoulder conditions and biomechanics. He graduated from King’s College London in 1999, before working within the NHS for 5 years then moving in to private practice. Stuart has worked with London Welsh RFC and with many elite sportsmen and women over the last 20 years whilst also studying extensively in pre and post operative management of shoulder conditions. Stuart is currently Clinical Lead for a GP consortium in Bristol providing local Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Osteopathy services and is the director of Physioimpulse one of Bath's leading Physiotherapy clinics. James Ross MCSP BSc (Hons) Osteopathy |
James is an experienced musculoskeletal therapist practising a unique fusion of Physiotherapy and Osteopathy. He has degrees in Sports Science, Physiotherapy and Osteopathy and has been teaching courses to physiotherapists for the past 4 years. Following James’ physiotherapy training he combined his work in the NHS with a part-time role at Chelsea Football Club for 4 years. On moving to Bristol in 2004 he worked in private practice in a multi-disciplinary clinic treating the full spectrum of patients from elite athletes to complicated ‘chronic pain sufferers’. James has worked in First Class cricket at Gloucester Cricket Club and Premiership rugby at Bath RFC and has 15 years’ experience working with male and female athletes of all abilities allowing him to specialise in sports related injuries and rehabilitation. Alan Murdoch |
Alan is an accredited strength and conditioning coach, with a masters degree in rehabilitation science and therapy. He is the owner of Alan Murdoch Performance Coaching, and works at Bath Rugby as a senior rehabilitation coach.
Alan began his career as a strength conditioning coach at Millfield School, working with a range of athletes from recreational to future Olympians. Following his time at Millfield, he moved to Bath Rugby Academy where he spent 3 years developing and delivering the strength and conditioning programme within the academy and with the academies flagship programme at Beechen Cliff School. During this time, Beechen Cliff reached the final of the national championships 2 years in a row and graduated 11 players to the Senior Academy. Moving from the Academy to Bath Rugby senior squad, Alan practises as a senior rehabilitation coach, influential in the creation of the clubs return to play protocols and day to day practise. Particular areas of interest and expertise are in post surgical rehabilitation, return to sport, long term athlete development and speed training.
